Corrections policy
We want every 9jaPulse story to match the reports it cites. When we get something wrong, we fix it and say so on the page.
How to report an error
Email [email protected] with the link to the story, what is wrong and, if you can, a source showing the correct information. Publishers can also use this address to ask us to change or remove a link to their reporting.
What we do
- We check the request against the cited source reports and any official statement.
- If our story is wrong or misleading, we correct the text at the same address.
- A correction adds a dated note to the story's Updates list saying what changed. Fixes to spelling or formatting that do not change the meaning are not noted.
- If a source we relied on retracts its report, we update or withdraw our story. Withdrawn stories return “410 Gone” rather than redirecting elsewhere.
- If a story names or identifies a private person against our editorial policy, we remove those details immediately.
Errors in the original reporting
Our stories summarise other outlets' reporting. If the error is in the original article, please also contact that publisher; the link to their report is on our story page.
